An Iranian volunteer lost his life in Syria while defending holy Shia sites against ISIL terrorists.
Ali Reza Imani, the deputy commander of Basij (Volunteer) forces in the southern city of Shush said on Thursday that Ahmad Hayari who was sent to Syria recently became martyr in the Latakiah twon in west of Syria.
The funeral procession for martyr Hayar will be held in Shush, Khuzestan province, once his body is transferred to the city, said the commander.
Meanwhile, another Iranian volunteer from the provincial city of Ahvaz was martyred in Syria earlier this month.
